1. Comin’ Up [Prod. By Jacob Entel, DJ Muggs]
The bouncy instrumental hits you right from the start as Sam introduces himself and where he’s from. He gives his engineer a shout out. The suspense continues to build and almost boils over as we anxiously await the hook. Then the beat drops and Sam explodes with an amped up, inspirational hook! “I’m comin’ up! I’m comin’ up all in! Runnin’ airlines from LA to Boston! Can’t stop, and I told you I’ll promise! That you ain’t gon’ hear nobody that’s hotter!” Instantly he draws us in with his bold swagger! Now he begins to rap. “What up haters I’m back! So how’s my dick taste?” Wait, did he really just say that!? His flow continues to be on point with this incredible production. The lyrics are jam-packed with confidence and fittingly refer to how Sam is rising with quotes like “Comin’ up hard, see the numbers on the fan page.” This, of course is referring to his rapidly growing number of Facebook fans. This track is Sam making sure you’re aware that he’s more than just a YouTube success, and that he’s the real deal! It’s almost as if he’s saying, ‘Ready or not, here I come!’ This could easily sweep people off their feet and be their favorite track. We’re just getting started, though! It looks like we’re in for a hell of a ride!

2. Driving Me Crazy [Prod. By Sam Adams]
This is the album’s 1st single. This song drives the ladies crazy! That can be credited to the club-friendly beat and the twice-repeated hook: “Baaabaaayyyyy!!! You’ve been driving me craaazaaayyyyy!!! Can you be my laaadaaayyyyy!!! Can you be my baaaby!? Baaaaby! Driiiviiiiing me craaazayyy!” The swagger that he brings to the track makes it very guy-friendly as well, with quotes like “Still amazing like a chick with a deep throat.” This fast-paced, almost techno beat (produced by Sam, himself) could definately get any club rocking! When Sammy performed this track at Bamboozle, the crowd went absolutely nuts! You can watch the music video here! Sam’s 2 for 2!

3. Swang [Prod. By Austin Woolridge]
This one’s for all the ballers out there. “Swing yo drink! If you ballin’, swing a bottle! We up in the club, get your girl back tomorrow! ‘Cause we get it poppin’! Only hittin’ models! If you ain’t a 10, get your hands off my bottom.” This is definately a song you can sit back and just vibe to. This is like hoody rap over a funky beat. “Not a jersey boy, but I am the situation.” Something about this track isn’t really doing it for me, personally, but it’s not a bad song. Alright, what do we have next?

4. Just Love Here [Prod. By Austin Woolridge]
This is one you just really sit back and listen to. As you take a stroll through Sam’s past, you almost get lost in the song. He gives you an inside look at his journey and how he has made it to this point. “And my rymes got better. Spittin everyday, new vocabs clever. ‘I Hate College’ allowed me to enter. The realm of popularity I thought I’d reach never.” The song gets pretty deep and allows you to see a side of Sam that you don’t see on most other songs. It’s the one song that reminds us despite all the success, that he’s still a vulnerable kid with the hook being: “And when I leave the stage…and the limelight. And the groupie girls…when the time’s right. And the fly home…back to my life. With my fam around me, yeah that sounds right. When I leave LA…with my mind right. On the couch at home…for the whole night. No drugs here. Just love here.” He struggles between striving for success and missing home by saying things like “And I’m about to graduate. And all these agencies know how to aggravate. I wish they would just leave me alone. I just wanna go home. I just wanna go home.” before whispering “But I also want the throne.” You may need to listen to this one a couple times to really get a grasp of the things he’s saying. Great song.

5. Coast To Coast [Prod. By Oren Yoel]
The mood of the album begins to brighten back up with fun quotes like “Girl problems, you think you have some? Hit the beach you, won’t have none” and “Used to be at the bottom, with the other lobsters. Now I’m at the top, like birds and helacopters.” Listening to this, I suddenly feel like I can accomplish anything! Anything currently troubling me seems to fade away and I begin to feel invincible. The positive hook makes you zone out, in a good way. As you bob your head while listening to it, if you close your eyes, you can imagine anything. Personally, I picture how Sammy’s life switches from being just a regular dude, hanging out with his friends, laughing…to now where things become more serious, meeting with big-name individuals, working hard in the studio, traveling…to where he finally gets to be on stage performing this very song in front of countless screaming fans! This is the album’s second single, and a great choice! Very inspirational!

6. You Girl [Prod. By Sam Adams]
“The way you look, got me chasin’. ‘Cause everytime I hear your voice, I feel my heartbeat start racin’. Honest, I’m yours for the takin’.” The first thing that jumps out at me is: Okay, Drake has ‘Best I Ever Had’, Sam Adams has ‘You Girl’. Although the two sound completely different (this features more of a techno-sounding beat, produced by Sam, himself), this is dedicated to one specific girl. Just like in ‘Best I Ever Had’, a name is cleverly left out, allowing girls listening to think he’s talking about them. While Drake focuses on how she’s the best he’s ever had, Sam focuses on the way she looks, which by now, doesn’t surprise me after listening to half the album. Sammy doesn’t strike me as the type of guy to be tied down, by any means.

7. Tab Open [Prod. By Oren Yoel]
Party anyone!?! The combination of this uptempo beat and catchy hook will have you tossin’ a few back in no time! “All the fellas nod they heads! All the ladies fall in love! Or in lust! Either one! Baby, I don’t give a fuck! Uh, uh! My tab’s open, yeah! My tab’s open, yeah! My tab’s opeeeeen!” The hook repeats twice. The verse is fine, but you don’t really pay close attention to what Sammy’s saying. You just nod your head in anticipation for the hook to play again! Oh, what’s this? “So let’s get fuckin’ faded. Lit up, intoxicated!” Yeah! Now we’re talkin’! Bring on the hook again! One thing that jumps out at me, personally, is the line “I ain’t Wyclef in December, ‘member we won’t keep in touch.” Good stuff! Here it comes! “All the fellas……….” My head is bouncing back and forth more than a bobble head! In the second verse, he explains why he no longer goes by his original rap name ‘Wiz’. He also says “I ain’t fuckin’ Eminem”. Oooooo what’s this? A bridge? “And you can leave my tab open. I’m ording the X and the O’s like I’m coachin’. Quotient. Party hard animal. Sittin’ on a grand or two. Throw it on my tab, baby, come and let me sample you. And if ya finna get it tipsy, put your drinks up. (And you can leave my tab open.) And if you finna get it tipsy put your drinks uuuuuppp! (And you can keep my tab open.)” The hook comes in for a final round and at this point, you’re partying harder than ever before!

8. I’m So High [Prod. By Matty Trump]
As if it’s not obvious by the title, this one’s for the smokers, and I’m not talkin’ bout cigarrettes. It opens up with Sam humming a tune. Damn. Sam starts spitting! “Thrown in the game. No warm up, but I ain’t cold. Transition from ice cold, to luke warm. Wanna feel my story homie come and put my shoes on.” Now he gives props to his hometown. “Know I’m goin’ just as hard in the 9th inning as the first. Thanks Boston, for raising me.” He continues with his real talk. “Never stole a swag, bit a line, none of this. Only did me, thinking how I could become the shit.” The beat is extremely chill. It almost has a jazz feel to it. Sam throws some spanish into the mix. “Cuz it’s easy to get your name known. When everything you’re recording is straight fuego.” This track is very easy to sit back and vibe to. It only includes two verses and rides out with the trumpet at the end. Okay, onto the bonus tracks.

9. Still I Rise (feat. G. Curtis) [Prod. By Jacob Entel]
This track surfaced the other day. The current tempo of the album switches from calm, to uplifting! “Still I rise to the top! Momma you should see me now! Life so lavish! And I’m superstar status! So high that I can’t come down!” Labelmate G. Curtis nails the hook! Here comes Sammy! “Uhh. Speaking of rising, I’m what’s next! And do I feel entitled to your girlfirend? Yes! Girl wanna marry, I’m just lookin’ for some sex! Or some brain! Or some dome! Synonym! Gettin’ neck!” You’ve got to love the bold statements that come out of this kid’s mouth! One thing I’ve noticed thoughout the album, is Sammy doesn’t waste a beat. He makes use of every second he’s on it! I like that. The beats have been on point, too! G. Curtis also has a bridge. Boy, does it engage you! “Stiiiiiiilllllll Iiiiiiiiiiiiii riiiiiiiiiiiiiise!!! Not just for the moment, but the rest of my liiiife! And allllllllllllll myyyyyyyyyy dreeeeeaaaams! They constantly keep turning into realityyyyy!” What is he sampling? I swear I’ve heard this before.

10. See Me Now [Prod. By Emile]
Hmmmm. I didn’t expect to hear a song like this on the album. Interesting placement, considering the words in the previous track’s hook. This is definately one for the ladies. Although, I can still see some guys feelin’ it, because it’s not R&B. He’s still rapping, but the beat and lyrics are definately going to be accepted better by females. I would compare this to ’21 Questions’ by 50 Cent. Sammy has been in one serious relationship before, but it’s tough to say if any of this song has anything to do with that. At times it sounds like he’s talking to an ex, while at others it seems like he’s talking to a current girl. Only he knows… I can dig it.

11. Fly Jets Over Boston (feat. Curren$y) [Prod. By Ski Beatz, Nottz (co)]
Because of the Curren$y feature, this is definately a track that the Hip-Hop “community” is going to have their eyes on, or ears open to, for that matter. A lot of people may not know, but these two have recorded a lot of material together. This isn’t really my type of music, personally, but I know there’s a large group of people who are going to be feelin’ it! What’s disappointing to me, though, is that Sam has the opening verse, but then the rest of the song is Spitta by himself as he’s on the hook and has a verse. I would’ve liked to hear Sam more, either on the hook or by providing a second verse. Because of that, this is a pretty short song. They basically get in, do their thing, and get out. Alright, last song on the album. What do we got!?

12. Just Sayin’ [Prod. By MP-3, Phunk Dawg]
Ahhhh. This is more like it! This is the Sam I like best! The track starts off with Sam talking, and as soon as the beat drops, he goes straight to work! “Chicks at my table lookin’ at me all proplexed. Like, ‘if you ain’t interested in me at lest give me sex’.” Once the hook comes in, it’s game over! This hook makes you feel so good! “Wake up, dip over to the next one! Am I runnin’ this game? No question! Sammy MP-3 on the kick drum! Trillest out, don’t matter where we come from! Who are they play-in? Who are they play-in? Who are they play-in-in? We just say-in! We just say-in! We just say-in-in!” The engineer work on this track is sick! What an incredible way to bring the album to a close! I’m definately gonna keep this track on repeat!
