MuziksMyLife.com Interviews Wiz Khalifa In Michigan

The Taylor Gang general gathered his troops and infiltrated Michigan last weekend — performing three sold out shows in two short days! Saturday night, I sat down with Wiz Khalifa for an interview between his first two back-to-back shows at the Royal Oak Music Theatre, just outside Detroit. At the time, he was ironically enjoying his newfound mainstream success while underground — in a secluded cement-walled area of the venue’s basement, occupied only by those he shared the stage with merely an hour before. Following a brief escort from his Tour Manager, Will, I had now reached a point envied by 1,700 screaming fans in attendance for the earlier show. I, too, enjoyed the prior performance as a patron, but now—more than ever—was time for business and proper display of professionalism.

Upon entering the room, my ears perked in response to Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday collaboaration with Kanye West pouring through the speakers of Wiz Khalifa’s personal laptop — “I fly! I fly high! I’m blazin’!” Wiz was doing just that while taking flight with a paper plane, yet remaining seated in the comfort of his rolling computer chair. After a round of introductions, I sat down and began to interview arguably the most buzzed about rapper in 2011. See how it all unfolded below . . .

EXCLUSIVE: MuziksMyLife.com Interviews Calliko

Calliko’s new single, “Whip It Around”, featuring Wiz Khalifa took the internet by storm last week! As the dark horse, Calliko not only held his own alongside the “Black And Yellow” rapper, but some would even say he stole the show! Friday, I took a trip across the pond (Lake Michigan) to Chi-Town and met up with the rapid fire-flow spitter at The Bassment! When it was all said and done, I had become confident that Calliko is no flash in the pan . . .

Kicking things off, Calliko spits his “Whip It Around” verse in acapella fashion! Once we sit down, he explains the origins of his Wiz Khalifa-featured single, which consist of the Taylor Gang general receiving the boot from two hotels before his tour manager Will was ultimately taken to jail! Calliko also announces that he will be unveiling the in-studio footage of he and Wiz recording the track in the near future! Not only that, but the ball is rolling for G.O.O.D. Music representer Big Sean to potentially be appearing on the remix! As if things couldn’t get any better, Calliko reveals he will be unleashing another single featuring Wiz Khalifa titled “Give You Wings”, which will likely be followed by a music video!

The East Moline, Ill native goes on to discuss Twista granting him his rap moniker, a car accident that left him paralyzed for 10 months, growing up in the country, overcoming adversity, learning the business side of the industry upon moving to Chicago, owning 80′s Baby Entertainment, his hopes of collaborating with other emerging artists—Big Sean, Mac Miller, Curren$y, and Big K.R.I.T.—aside from Wiz Khalifa, his exposure from websites such as FakeShoreDrive and HotNewHipHop, his current mixtape The Departure, his upcoming DJ Ill Will & DJ Rockstar-hosted mixtape The Layover dropping toward the end of January, and more! With Christmas right around the corner, Calliko wraps things up by letting us know the contents of his wish list!

“Boston’s Boy” Sam Adams Interview With MuziksMyLife.com In Ann Arbor, Mi (Part 1 & 2) [Video]

Sam Adams, who is most recognized for the YouTube sensation “I Hate College” has been affiliated with my site for intense promotion since back in March following a few simple text messages!! Since then, he has released a #1 album outselling Lil Wayne on iTunes, premiered 2 music videos on MTV, racked up over 160,000 Facebook Fans, and toured the country!

This past Wednesday, Sammy and his management returned the favor by placing my name on the guest list for his concert in Ann Arbor and even setting aside time for an interview on the tour bus prior to the show which ended up lasting 20 minutes! They allowed me exclusive access near the stage for filming Sam’s performance, too!! Sam and his entire crew were extremely chill, down to earth dudes and I couldnt’ve asked for better treatment!! I’m grateful for the opportunity and wish Sam and his label the best!

The interview was filmed by Casey Arndt and the final edit of the video was sculpted by @CoryJamo!!! Hopefully you enjoy what you see and watch both videos, because things get pretty interesting toward the end!!! Sammy’s new mixtape, Party Records drops this Thursday, September 23rd and you can check out two leaks here & here!!

You may already be familiar with Blue from his powerful smash single “Story Of My Life” featuring Akon, tracks with fellow Poe Boy artists Flo Rida & Brisco, or most recently Timbaland’s “Talk That” banger with Timbo & T-Pain!!

If you’d like to get caught up to speed, make sure you check out Billy Blue’s very own Feature Artist” Page HERE on MuziksMyLife.com for some of his past work!!!!

During our interview Billy Blue describes in graphic detail his horrific childhood which included losing his mother, being forced to sleep in the backyard, living in Haiti during the country’s revolt, struggling to find a meal, ending up in jail, and much more! He also discusses how he got his record deal, working in the studio with the likes of Akon & Timbaland, his upcoming debut album which is titled “The Story Of My Life”, and other music-related discussions.
